Been so lazy the past weeks I just didn't bother to update my blog - after all, blogging requires some commitment, and sometimes I just get so lazy I don't bother at all. It's gonna be a long post, so bear with me please :)
Lots of things happened the past few weeks, had a combined 2 Day 1 Night Track and Field camp with Tennis and Floorball - kudos to the seniors who planned the entire camp, even though the games section wasn't really very fun, they did put in the effort to make at least one part of the camp interesting, and that was the Haunted School Trail, whatever they called it.
And just before my holidays started, I went to Batam, for an Overseas CIP trip, which was also my school's CG Camp. I have to say, I didn't realise the trip to Batam was my CG Camp until my OG mates informed me, and I was sorely disappointed. Not that the trip was boring, I just felt disappointed as the OCIP trip didn't meet the CG Camp standards I had in mind. Heck, my CG didn't even take one photograph together yet! (Which actually shows how bonded my Civics Group is at the moment) Oh well, I just can't expect everything to go well without me trying to make an effort to do something.
Next up during my holidays, I had a 3-Day First Aid course in school, and even though I had my Adult First Aid certificate already, I was still assigned to attend the course. Went to buy spikes with my CCA mates after the course ended on the third day, just to find out that spikes weren't on sale in the store my senior brought us to. Thus, we headed off to Queensway to search for the sprinting spikes. After scouring through the entire mall, we only managed to find one shop selling sprint spikes, but only 2 different designs. And just so coincidentally, I met this friend of mine, who is more of a texting buddy than a friend in real life. Which came as a surprise to me, as we were just discussing about fate the day before. Not sure if I believe in fate still, but it still wouldn't hurt if I take the initiative, would it?
Anyways, I had an OG outing as well, but frankly, less than half the OG turned up, so I wasn't particularly feeling great about the outing. Honestly, I find it kind of sad my OG isn't bonded well together, and instead it became more of an exclusive clique. Not that good, but I try to include people, I think. (Not that I'm Mr Pops. in the clique, more of a loner in the clique anyways) My outing was held at East Coast Park, and I was horribly late, which caused me to get lost as well. It was a decent outing, just cycling and chatting and having fun at the beach. Dared a couple of OG mates to get me some food from a group of girls BBQing, and they actually did it! I also had tons of fun cycling the rental bike. (and showing off my skills though I don't think I impressed anyone.) For dinner, we went to Nene Chicken @ Bedok Mall and most of us tried the Freaking Hot flavour. Have to say, the chick was sure flaming hot! Enjoyed the meal, the cycling, and the company that day.
Lastly, I went to Universal Studios Singapore with Mom and two of my sisters. First time going, and I say, I really really dislike the queues. I guess good things only goes to those who wait patiently, as the rides were really fun, after I got through the long queues! Went for the Transformers and the Mummy ride first, sadly not the Battlestar Galactica as it was still under maintainace. However, I've got to say, it was really worth the time spent with my family. After lunch (which was hardly filling at all, and yet costed so much), my mom decided to take a break in one of the air-conditioned food courts, while my sisters and I went to watch a 4D movie and ride on a rollercoaster. Saw a cutie who was queuing behind us for the rollercoaster ride, and boy was I stoked when I realised the rollercoaster carriages sat two per row. To my dismay, three Universal Express Pass holders came into the queue and my chance to get to sit next to the cutie disintegrated. Apart from that, I didn't get to see her again. Went to watch a comedy show by Donkey, and subsequently, we went for another ride on Evac. We also experienced a Class 4 Hurricane in the Special Effects Room, and watched the Monster Rock Musical, after sharing a large sized turkey drumstick. I was supposed to have dinner with my family with the exception of my eldest sister, but I decided to go home first and guess what, I reached home only about 10-20 minutes before my family did. Just my luck, right? Still, I had a pleasant albeit tiring day at USS.
Sometimes, things never go your way, and no matter how bad things seem to be, always stay positive and patient, and don't give up. Stay true to your loved ones, and cherish them. And sometimes, fate really does play a part in our lives. (but I'd rather grasp my own chances before fate hands it to me, frankly speaking)
This has been a pretty long post on the events that occurred during the past weeks, and not even talking about school life. I guess I should end here, and I promise, I'll be back before the next weekend for another blog post, more of on schoolwork and all those teenage issues. If you are still there reading my post, I hope I didn't bore you!
Cheers for another good week ahead!
P.S. I forgot to mention the joy I had when it finally rained here last Sunday, but ever since Sunday it has been raining every single day. I don't know if I'm pleased or annoyed by that, yet.
